72 MILLION DOLLAR VERDICT AGAINST JOHNSON AND JOHNSON FOR TALC DISASTER

A St. Louis jury has ordered the manufacturing giant Johnson & Johnson to pay $72 million to the family of an Alabama woman who died of ovarian cancer after using baby powder and other products containing talc.

The woman, Jackie Fox, was just one of many women who suffered from ovarian cancer after using J&J products that contained talc. The families of these victims are pursuing claims against Johnson & Johnson, and experts say that the St. Louis verdict augurs poorly for the company’s future court prospects.
