DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS FOR CHILDREN RECALLED AFTER DEATHS

Any Atlanta resident who was had to help a sick or injured child, can imagine the pain of how it must feel to have a child injured or even killed from a product that is supposed to be built for the infant. Unfortunately, this was the case that some parents had to deal with.

The defective products in question caused five deaths and at least 92 injuries to infants. Following the deaths and injuries, the product, the Nap Nanny and Chill Recliners are being recalled. One of the reasons that the products were so bad was because there was little to no oversight when it came to regulating the products. Still, the company that should have taken liability has still denied it completely and it may appear that the company has gotten away with not having to take responsibility. That being said, the owners or management of the company may still be liable for the deaths and resulting injury.

After the loss of an infant, the family will likely feel a large range of emotions, including feeling powerless. For this reason, it is often best to seek out assistance to find answers as to how it happened. Often the only way to find the responsible party is to bring a product liability suit against any parties who could be responsible and through discovery, finding out exactly who was responsible. This may seem to be a long and complex process, but many times beginning could pave the way to a settlement for the damages. In some cases, the suit may result in recovery that begins to cover the losses. That, of course, cannot replace that loss of life but still may help the family to be able to move on.

Losing a child is something a parent should never had to go through. Getting help can ease some of the pain of that loss.
